Kellyanne Conway's Job In The Trump Administration Revealed

Kellyanne Conway's Job In The Trump Administration Revealed

Kellyanne Conway is considering taking the helm of the external political operation that will support Donald Trump during his tenure as president, according to sources familiar with the private deliberations.

Just as President Obama’s outside organization became a powerful force in progressive politics, Trump’s infrastructure could become a dominant force on the right. What becomes of this group — and who runs it — is one of the hottest topics of conversation circulating the D.C. Republican scene.

Trump’s outside infrastructure is likely to involve Republican mega-donor Rebekah Mercer, the data firm Cambridge Analytica — in which the Mercers hold a financial stake — and, possibly, Conway, sources have told The Hill.

TRUMP: I Won The Popular Vote If You Subtract The Illegal Voters

TRUMP: I Won The Popular Vote If You Subtract The Illegal Voters

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump tweeted on Sunday that besides winning the Electoral College "in a landslide" in the Nov. 8 election: "I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally."

The allegation, made without any evidence, comes as Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's lead in the popular vote over Trump has surpassed 2 million votes and is expected to grow to more than 2.5 million as ballots in populous states such as California continue to be tallied.

Clinton's legal team said on Saturday it had agreed to participate in a recount of Wisconsin votes after the state's election board approved the effort requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein, which Trump has called "ridiculous."

"In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally," Trump tweeted as reporters waited for him to leave his Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Florida to fly back to his residence in New York City.

Jill Stein Praises Fidel Castro As 'A Symbol Of The Struggle For Justice'

Green Party perennial presidential hopeful Jill Stein praised former Cuban strongman Fidel Castro on Saturday, as encomiums by many left-of-center politicians continued to roll in following his death.

"Fidel Castro was a symbol of the struggle for justice in the shadow of empire. Presente!" Stein wrote on Twitter Saturday afternoon.

The verb form of the word literally means "present." The way Stein used it was something like a military salute ("present arms!") but for Latin American leftist radicals.

Journalist Compares Fidel Castro To George Washington

Journalist Compares Fidel Castro To George Washington

Fidel Castro, who died late Friday night, was a tyrant who oppressed Cubans and brought misery to many for several decades and while much of the breaking news coverage emphasized that reality, journalists on ABC, CNN and MSNBC – matching how too much of the media approached Castro for decades – couldn’t resist crediting him for supposed great advancements in education, literacy and health care.

On MSNBC, Andrea Mitchell insisted in a stock bio that Castro “gave his people better health care and education.” Appearing live by phone, she soon trumpted how Castro “will be revered” for “education and social services and medical care to all of his people.”

Along a similar theme, in an ABC Special Report during Nightline, Jim Avila maintained that “even Castro’s critics praised his advances in health care and in education.”

In a relatively tough report on Castro’s abuses, CNN’s Martin Savidge, in a pre-recorded bio piece, highlighted how “many saw positives, education and health care for all, racial integration.”

A meandering Brian Williams popped up by phone on MSNBC to ruminate and recalled how in his last visit to Cuba, in 2015: “You see the medicine system they are very proud of.”
